Gundam 00

Can someone explain to me why it looks so freaking much like Gundam Wing?! The mobile suits look so much like replicas T_T But but I wanna watch~~~ It looks so much more exciting than GSeed, kira was just too much a wimp for me to finish that series.

I did read reviews saying that it's almost like remaking GW for the modern audience, but oh well... will see how it turns out. Somehow I don't fancy the fashion sense of current-day anime =.= Oh man I feel old, GW was actually 1995...

It's been so long since I'd watched any anime, all the seiyuus I liked seem to have disappeared ._.

WTF, YOU feel old? I remember first watching Gundam when I was 5 in 1985, and building my own control deck using Lego bricks. I *think* this is what I watched - Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam

anonymous: possibly when i got older, but not the first few times when i watched it.

all i remembered from 5-10yo was about wanting to have amazing cars (cyber formula) and epyon and wing :D well maybe i started taking abit more interest in the boys around 12 but that doesn't make me like weiss kreuz more than gw just because the boys are cute with cooler costumes. i liked gw for a story that was more flowy than most mecha animes which goes by one fight per episode with a little story progression. i rather liked mospeada too. hehe. i liked gundam enough to read the book by gerald k. o'neill because of the references to living in space. it had a rather large impact on me. really.

joe: oh joe joe. i wasn't born yet lah!!!!

Mospeada is so cool. Bikes vs Killer crabs. Hey.. any series with crustaceans has got to be cool.

Maybe they ran out of ideas for new Gundam series.
So they decide to ripoff from Wing.

It's like how Gundam Seed is a total ripoff (at least till ep16, which I stop watching after there) of Gundam 0079, the first Gundam series.

Haha yes. Or so it seems. I'm totally alright with it, because it says they want to redo them for the modern audience. Maybe I'm getting old, but I fail to see how 00's MS look more modern than GW's. (Seed's was cool though, but the character and clothing design was just really not my taste)
